About the Pose
This is a similar pose to bridge but uses a strap as a prop to assist. Pulling on the strap with your hands helps your chest to open and pelvis to lift. It is an easier alternative to practicing Setu Bandha Sarvāngāsana (Bridge pose). As you press your feet down, your sacrum may rise. As you press the tops of your shoulders down, your chest may open more.
Benefits from the Pose
This pose encourages a deep stretch through your chest and groin areas, promoting openness, flexibility, and a sense of spaciousness in your front body.
By actively engaging your leg muscles, this posture helps build strength and endurance in your thighs, supporting stability and lower-body power.
