About the Pose
One of the simplest poses, or so it seems. The easy part is sitting down. Practicing it with attention and for a length of time can be a challenge. It is good for setting your knees in joint after they have been bent for a long time, such as in Virāsana (Hero pose) and Baddha Konāsana (Bound Angle pose).
Benefits from the Pose
This pose promotes alignment in your upper body, helping to naturally improve your posture and support a strong, upright stance.
By grounding through your sitting bones and connecting with the earth beneath you, this posture fosters stability, presence, and a deep sense of rootedness.
